Spring is the perfect time to visit Venezia (cause I haven’t visited there the other time wkwkw). Venice isn’t located in Italy mainland, we need to take a bus or train to reach this gems. You will find beauty in every corner that you can’t find in normal city.
No place is perfect, but the imperfection makes it deserve more to admire. You will find such spots sign as captured below for Piazza San Marco and Rialto. Fun fact, it is sold in souvenir shop!
Rialto bridge is always one must visited attraction for tourist in Venice. It’s even better when you got the timings to capture a photo with gondola or boat passing through under the bridge.
Imagine eating a pizza on the canal-side in Italy, like in the picture below. That was what I did! Equivalence to eating “bakwan” casually in an Indonesian streetfood place.
Like I said earlier, you are lucky enough to find imperfection in forms of construction work in Piazza San Marco or St. Mark Square in the heart of Venezia. A (not so) fun fact, few years ago water was flooding this square as well, not only in designated canals. So, people made multiple emergency bridges across this majestic square.

Gondola and its stops. Get ready to pay 80 euros for 1 ride! Unfortunately there’s no scholarship available for this activity, so I didn’t take this chance. Even more pricy if you want the driver singing during the trip. Perfect for couple! Maybe you got reduction if you sing instead him (kidding).
I’d say the water actually is not as crystal as you might find on any online sites. Although, you still got the hype knowing the fact that it’s Venice.
Food paradise does exist in Venice like people say. I have a chance to grab Italian specialties in a local restaurant. I’d say the feeling eating a plate Pasta in Italy is like digesting a Gudeg in Jogja.
Tiramisu made in Italy hits me differently.
Never miss tasting Gelato in a little local stalls when in Italy! 4 euros, definitely not overrated. Choice is yours, get 20 Gelatos or 1 Gondola ride?
For those who love football, a tiny Venezia FC official store sneaking in a neighborhood. As a reminder, Venezia FC played in Italy top flight Serie A in academic year season of 2021/2022.
The short journey was concluded at Santa Lucia railway station. Next cities are coming….
